Prof. Stefan Teipel earned his PhD and Habilitation from the Faculty of Medicine from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich in 2000 and 2007, respectively. In 2008, he moved to University Medicine Rostock and is a Professor for Clinical Dementia Research since 2015. Prof Teipel’s research focus is on clinical dementia research. He aims to improve early diagnosis and treatment of dementia with special emphasis on Alzheimer’s disease (AD), to evaluate new technologies in real word environments and to involve patients and caregivers in the innovation process. He also explores novel molecular imaging modalities, including amyloid- and tau-sensitive positron emission tomography (PET)
