Dr. David Gate received his graduate degree in Integrative Biology of Disease from the University of Southern California in 2015. He then trained as a postdoctoral fellow with Tony Wyss-Coray at Stanford University. In 2021, Dr. Gate became a faculty member in Neurology at Northwestern University in Chicago. The Gate lab is focused on the intersection of the immune system and neurodegenerative disease. Dr. Gate’s laboratory employs multi-omics strategies to interpret immune system changes related to neurodegeneration. His group is particularly interested in the interplay between T cells and neurogenerative disease antigens. For this work, he has received an NIH K99 grant, Alzheimer’s Association Young Investigator Award and a Junior Faculty Award from the AD/PD Congress. Dr. Gate is also the recipient of the inaugural Early Career Investigator Award from 10x Genomics.
