Adam Denes

Adam Denes is heading the Laboratory of Neuroimmunology and the Cell Biology Center in the  Institute of Experimental Medicine (IEM), Budapest, Hungary. Research of his group focuses on the role of microglia in regulating neuronal activity and injury. They also study the mechanisms of central and systemic inflammation in stroke and other forms of brain injury, as well as the fundamental processes of brain-immune interactions in health and disease. Their recent research revealed the contribution of microglial actions to the regulation of cerebral blood flow, neurovascular coupling and hypoperfusion.
