Wei Cao

Dr. Wei Cao is a professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, USA. She received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed postdoctoral training at the Scripps Research Institute in San Diego, California. Dr. Cao worked as a faculty member at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and Baylor College of Medicine prior to her current position. Her current research centres on defining the mechanisms by which neuroinflammation arises and affects the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s Disease, brain aging, and beyond.
